JEF Ireland, the Young European Movement UK, and the European Movement Ireland are holding a EU Skills Academy in the European Parliament office in Dublin on the 14th of March.
Come and hear from European politicans, and institution workers about how to get a career in the European Union and the learn about essentials skills to thrive in the European jobs market.
JEF Ireland and the DCU Politics Society will be hosting a MEET Regional Debate on the topic of lowering the voting age to 16 in Dublin City University on the 15th of Feb.
The winners of the debate will then go on to the MEET debate finals held in Brussles in March.
The Young European Movement UK and JEF Ireland are proud to come together to launch the Young Europeans in Northern Ireland - a cross-community, campaigning and networking society for young people interested in politics and European affairs.
The launch of the Young Europeans will feature a wide range of speakers from a cross-section of Northern Irish society, including student unions, youth wings and charities, as well as guests from Britain and Ireland.
Guests speakers include Alliance Party Deputy-Leader, Stephen Farry MP; former UUP leader, Mike Nesbitt MLA; SDLP Leader in the Northern Ireland Assembly, Matthew O'Toole MLA; Fine Gael MEP, Colm Markey; and Fianna Fáil Senator, Malcolm Byrne.
Commencing at 11am in Queen's University Belfast, participants will engage in workshops and breakout sessions, as well as panel discussions on how we can bridge the gap between Northern Ireland and Europe, featuring important topics such as careers with the EU to studying abroad.
At 4.30pm, we will conclude our political session and travel to a nearby bar/restaurant for light food and refreshments. Daytime attendees can register for free, while we ask those wishing to book accommodate to purchase the relevant ticket below.

Our National Congress recently took place on the 17th of December at Dublin City University. At this event, we elected our first National Executive Committee. We also voted on policy motions and formally approved our constitution.
Sessions of the Policy Committee are open to all members of JEF Ireland. You can submit motions and debate policy with your fellow members! At this meeting we also held elections for Co-Chair of the Committee.

We had our annual Dublin Summer Social last June, this was a great opportunity for members to meet the team and each other.
We held an online consulation as party of the Conference on the Future of Europe to gather young Irish peoples views on European Union reform.
Our first new members evening gathered our new members before the European Congress 2021.
This online discussion panel discussed the state of gender equality in Europe and how it can be improved.
